Masala Chaas Recipe | Smoked Buttermilk | Smoked Chaas

Ingredients:


  • 1 cup yoghurt

  • 2 cups water

  • salt to taste

  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/2 tsp fresh ginger

  • 1 tsp oil

  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds

  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1 red chilli

  • Few curry leaves

  • Fresh coriander

  • A piece of live coal

  • 1/2 tsp ghee

  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder


Method:


  1. Whisk together yoghurt, cumin powder, salt, and ginger. Keep that aside.

  2. Heat the oil,  add mustard seeds & let it splutter.

  3. Add cumin seeds, red chilli & curry leaves.  Saute & let it cool down.

  4. Pour the seasoning into to buttermilk & add coriander, mix well.

  5. On the coal add ghee & chilli powder. place that and cover it for 2 mins. remove the coal. 


Enjoy the chilled and Smoked Buttermilk.
